Man ID'd After Crash Into Silo In PA Near MD State Line (Update)

A 25-year-old man has been identified following a crash into a silo in South Central Pennsylvania, near the Maryland state line, on Wednesday night.

Jonathan  Scheuermann of the first block of Stoney Lane in Fawn Township, Delta, PA, has been identified as the unrestrained driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that crashed around 7:47 p.m. on Aug. 9, according to an updated release by the York County Coroner's Office. 

The single-vehicle crash was originally reported as a crash into a utility pole according to emergency dispatchers, but it is now known that the crash in the 200 block of Bryansville Road in Fawn Township was into a silo near Buckwheat and Graceton roads, as clarified by the York County Coroner.

There was no autopsy but a routine toxicology report was obtained. Scheuerman died of accidental blunt-force trauma, according to the Coroner's office. 

His death was certified at 8:50 p.m. by Deputy Coroner Jacob Clevenger and Deputy Coroner Trainee Jackie Heffner.

Pennsylvania State Police investigated the crash.
